  1. Kenny,
you were off to a slow start with this because of the difficulty of your animal. You really came through at the end and your work is starting to work. Please take the time to upload your rough and comments so that we can understand your work better and it will help you to improve your designs.
Image: This is an incredible image you really got the texture correctly with your brush strokes. You started behind the others and managed finish the project – congratulation. Thinking about the assignment would be great – time to question what you are ding and why. I don’t think this is necessarily a logo, but the illustration provides a sense of the moth due to the texture of the wings and the body.
Image and Word: This is a bit ineligible – a good idea but needs a great deal of work!!! – the black is swallowing the word and does not reflect the idea of the moth. Use of line and type does not reflect the moth, the type face should not be so blobby a moth is rather light. Your negative space does not define the letter. To solve this problem use an existing type face as a template, then pen tool or manipulate the individual letters, drawing on top, so there an integrity to the type and shape of the animal
Letter: this is a great idea – Because you spent the time on the illustration I believe you missed out a bit of the experimentation of the moth logos. What were you trying to visualize? I wonder about the heaviness of the letter with the lightness of the moth. The use of a black solid angular letter in reference to the lightness of the moth wings does not work 100% Black sucks the life out of an image. What about outline, italic or even yellow color. You could have also redefined the actual moth - again, as outline or graphic a alternative
Word: soft and fluttering. It is very simple and to the point. I think the moth is incredibly soft and the gradient reflects this visually. The spots on the word are good but they look a little to exact and their placement could be refined.
